Compression & Entropy Lab

A two-round coin-flipping game testing human intuition against entropy

#compression#entropy#interactive#game

A two-round interactive experiment: first you predict fair coin flips, then you face a sequence engineered to maximize entropy. The twist? Your cognitive biases — the Gambler’s Fallacy — become an advantage against the entropy maximizer.

Testing how human intuition perceives "randomness"

Welcome to the experiment. We will test your intuition for sequence prediction across two rounds.

In Round 1, the computer will flip a perfectly fair coin (50/50). Your goal is to try and guess the next outcome at each step.

Defines how many previous steps the algorithm analyzes to find patterns.

The higher the Beta, the harder the computer fights compressibility.
